Characteristic

W2 is the most popular and basic type of natural leather, belonging to thicker corrected leather. After the raw material tanning process, the leather is sanded. In this way, larger defects, such as thickenings, calluses, scars, are eliminated. This process does not completely eliminate minor imperfections visible on the leather, such as insect bites, which are a typical feature of natural leather. The next stage of W2 preparation is embossing the texture with an appropriate matrix (the so-called Dolaro), which gives it a coarse-grained appearance over the entire leather. The final phase is pigmentation and then softening the leather in special drums, which gives it a pleasant touch.

Care

dust should be cleaned at least once a week with a dry or damp (not wet) cloth
do not use alcohol-based cleaners as this can cause permanent damage to the top layer of the leather
At least twice a year, the furniture should be cleaned with an appropriate, proven furniture care agent, intended for the appropriate type of leather
it is recommended to maintain air humidity in the range of 45-55% and temperature in the range of 18 °C – 21 °C in the room.
