W11 leather features
Characteristic
W11 is a velvety soft to the touch nubuck leather characterized by a matte surface and a natural structure. Its extravagant character is achieved by sanding the face side. Despite the surface treatment, the scars are still visible and tell the unique story of each leather mat. It changes during use, giving an optical impression of patina. The noble surface undergoes an arduous tanning process that ensures pleasant warmth and a high level of breathability. Nubuck leather is usually more sensitive than smooth leather due to its polished, open grain. However, W11 is impregnated on the surface. Synthetic resins are used, which are arranged around the fibers as an invisible, pleasant to the touch protective layer. Despite the above-mentioned measures, softness and breathability remain at a consistently high level.
Caution:
The delicate finish only protects against splashes of water (hydrophobic). However, it does not protect against oils and fats (oleophobicity). Greasy stains penetrate in a very short time. Liquids will settle on the surface in the first 25 seconds and can be easily soaked up with a clean cloth before they penetrate the inner layer of the leather.
